We have been trying to take in some of the local culture... so we took a day trip to Lantau Island (outside of mainland Hong Kong) and travelled on cable cars to through the mountains to Ngong Ping Village, the Big Budda and Tai O Fishing Village.

The village was very remote and a very traditional depiction of what you would image it to be. Unfortunately, we did not try any of the local delicacies as they were mostly sun-dried fish and cost up to £4000...

We took a boat trip around the floating village and out to sea to track Chinese White Dolphins, but we did not find any...(we may have been "misled")

It was still a nice boat trip.
